The All New Chevrolet Ford Audi Honda War Machine

A measly five inches of snow and you would think Toronto had a storm. Hundreds of accidents all over the city.

I’m dying with laughter here.

If we got one down home East coast blast Toronto would have a panick attack. Declare an emergency and call in the army.

All these idiots who think driving should be fast and furious. Idiots who think their cars should be equipped like those in the movies.

You have to wonder if global warming and pollution would be so bad if we didn’t build all cars like we were going to a race track.

Why do we need such large amounts of horse power and such gas guzzling engines?

What are we trying to run from?

The auto manufacturers have purposely hypnotized the public into believing it is necessary to have a vehicle that is faster, lighter and dangerous

With all this concern regarding “distracted driving”, we find it necessary to have videos and entertainment systems in a vehicle that is supposed to transport us. Not “entertain” us. Most vehicles have better entertainment centres than my home has!

I HAVE ALWAYS SAID THEY SHOULD BUILD CARS THAT CAN ONLY GO THE SPEED LIMIT. NO NEED TO HAVE A CAR THAT CAN GO TWO HUNDRED KILOMETERS PER HOUR.  BUT, THEN THEY WOULD NOT SELL ENOUGH GAS TO KEEP THE WAR MACHINE TURNING

As insane as Hitler was, he understood this and had them develop the Volkswagen beetle.  The  most basic, practical and dependable vehicle ever built.

If the fastest we are legally allowed to drive is 120 kph, then why do we build cars that can go twice that speed?

Would it not be more sensible to build vehicles with smaller engines that could go just over the maximum limit? This would definitely reduce pollution and global warming.

But, then there would be less war instigated by the want of crude oil. There would be no reason to fuel the War Machine for the lust of petroleum. There would be no reason to invade countries, bomb the crap out of them, say we are sorry and then “help” them rebuild.

Society has become hypnotized by media. FASTER, BETTER, STREAMLINED AND “NICER THAN YOURS”.

We have brainwashed ourselves into believing what movies and song are saying.

I am confused by the average attitude and mindsets. It is illogical to have such vehicles

With today’s technology it would be easy to build fuel efficient and far more practical vehicles that are still comfortable and pleasant to drive.

BUT, WE ARE EXTREMELY GREEDY CREATURES AND WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT THAT WE SHOULD ALWAYS BE AND HAVE  BETTER THAN OUR NEIGHBOURS.

LORDS FORBID IF THEY HAVE A CAR WITH MORE HORSEPOWER OR MORE VIDEO SCREENS.

I WILL NOT BE SURPRISED WHEN THEY START PUTTING MICROWAVE OVENS, KUERIG COFFEE MACHINES, PIZZA WARMERS AND SHOWERS IN THE FUTURE SOCCER MOM VANS.

It boils down to this simple wisdom,

“Have you ever seen or heard of any chariot or buggy being pulled by five hundred horses?”

The answer is “NO” – because they could only pull it as fast as the roads permit and they would consume more grains then what was necessary to get from point A to point B.

But, we must keep the War Machine turning and we MUST race to be the first person at the next red light.

Until next time,  I remain Dann, just as I am.
